As this was an Xtool Selected product and I was using it with my Xtool D1 Pro 20W laser, I felt pretty confident this would work well. First off, it arrived in a bubble wrap envelope inside a cardboard branded box. Each sheet is masked on front and back. With acrylic being so prone to scratches, I was really happy to see it so well-protected.
You get 3 12x12 sheets inside the package. The red is a bright red and glossy on both sides. Each sheet is 5mm thick. Previously, I had only tried 3mm acrylic and the 5mm feels much more substantial. This stuff is THICK.
For my first try, I used the Xtool Creative Space pre-programmed settings for 5mm red acrylic. Engraving comes out a nice frosted, lighter red color that is definitely easy to read for text. The suggested cut settings also worked well and popped right out (when I had the laser focused correctly), but there is a little melting on the bottom half of the cut (see photo). It's likely not an issue for most projects, but I may try lowering the focus a bit more and/or a few other tweaks to see if I can get it a little cleaner.
As with lasering all acrylics, you want to make sure you are venting the fumes properly.
For the amount and quality of the acrylic, I'd say this is a pretty good buy and I will definitely purchase more in colors that work with my diode laser.
