xTool provides various models to fulfill your cutting & engraving needs.
I am new to laser engraving, but so far I have been impressed with the Laserbox. It is easy to use and the software is pretty straight forward. Despite being new to laser engraving, I have been able to make a variety of small craft projects, and some bigger ones too, which really speaks to how user-friendly the machine is for beginners.
I got my Laserbox last week and it came in excellent condition. I made some test cuts to make sure everything works and only after 20 minutes I had beautiful pieces. I can’t wait until I start making projects for my Etsy store. What an awesome machine. Thank you Makerbox!
This machine has been a ton of fun! I love how precise the cutting and engraving is and how easy the software is to use. I highly recommend this product for anyone looking to start a business or for artists and creatives, the possibilities are endless with a little imagination!
Was easy to assemble to the laser 40w CO2 and worked great during my trail runs.
No problem with assembly, did a trail run doing good. Ready to start my learning process and produce great items.
I absolutely love my Laserbox Rotary! It surpassed my expectations. The software is easy to understand and navigate. I really enjoy creating things with my Laserbox. I live in Hawaii and create a lot of tourist themed items to sell at our local farmers market. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase.
This laser is very simple to use. I enjoy making things with it. The sky is the limit on what can be done with it
I love how user friendly this laser box, easy to use and intuitive. Customer service from this website is also been excellent.
I bought my Makeblock xTool Laserbox Pro about 6 weeks ago and have not regretted it at all. I have had to think outside the box and over come a couple of obstacles though but these are not reasons to not invest in one, there are too many positive reasons to invest in one like I did. I bought one to start my business during the COVID outbreak, out of work and can't go back. So, I am now getting ready to launch Castle Laser Design. My first hurdle was that the rotary only goes up to 70mm, here is a YouTube Link I made that shows you what I did to overcome this and allows you to go up to 3 1/2 " or 89mm; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bz_UYAIU1bo. The other minor hurdle is that as fantastic as their software is it is limiting, so you have to invest in some editing software; there is some that is excellent free and some that costs. I would suggest joining our Facebook Group as well, we are a group of Makeblock owners that share everything, ideas, questions, suggestions and just help each other. Look us up. https://www.facebook.com/groups/xtoollaserbox/permalink/307666991094748/
And the last hurdle is and this is just truth because as much as I admire the company and the product is amazing, it is ok that not everything they sell is amazing. Their filtering system needs a lot of refinement, most everyone stops using it because it fails or messes up their Makeblock, it's insanely expensive; buy an inline fan that sucks the fumes out of the system, put your money into product. Good luck and I hope to see you on Facebook. https://xtool-1.kckb.st/e4dffcc3
I'd like to say its my first Laser cutter/engraver.
The Good part:
is a great machine. cuts great, ready to cut just out of the box. nicely shipped.
and the customer service has been really good.
Working area is good for basically everything if you run a small business.
The Bad part:
Software is too simple that it becomes a bad ting if you are an experienced designer.
Vacuum/extractor seems to need more power but overall works good with the purifier.
i was needed to masking tape the edges of the cover so i dont have fumes coming out between edges.
Rotary accessory works but there's so many limitations on it:
i have just tried couple times. but if your product doesn't have a level face or perpendicular face to the surface, you have some problems.
Size for engraving is kind of small, this days the most popular tumblers are big like YTI or other brands so you are limited on the things you can engrave.
Overall Good machine but keep in mind is for beginners on the laser world.
The wood is excellent quality and they sell you on the little bullseye, but if you simply learn how to measure and pay attention to the grade of wood you are buying, learn how to calculate square inches vs price you have buy B/BB Basswood Double Sanded other places for less money. If you etch and cut alot it adds up. I just bought another 40 pieces of 12 x 12 on Etsy. Finding 12 x 19 is really hand and pricey, keep in mind your Makeblock can handle 12 x 19 so don't feel you have to settle for a paper sized piece of board. Yes, they are quality, but money is money.
3mm Basswood (56pcs)
This wood is already prep and ready for all of my creations. I hardly ever have any warping or spotty pieces. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!
I purchased the laserbox rotary. I was nervous about buying it because I have been burned buying from China. I was in contact with tech support through Skype the entire time before and after I bought the machine. I was using a k40 laser which was awful. Every time I cut something it would burn the material. This laser has been excellent and I think it was money well spent for my small business. The machine is kind of loud but the results are worth it. The software is a bit simplistic but you can always edit photos in another software and transfer. Took me some time to figure out how to do everything on the software. I give the software a 4/5 stars because of this but I did learn how to use it. Because this can be connected with a usps cord I chose it over the glowforge. Spotty internet at my home would have turned the glowforge into a $4000 paperweight. I am so happy I chose the Makeblock laserbox rotary. Highly recommend. If you’re nervous about buying from China, message them and talk to them. They were very kind and supportive for the whole process. Excellent!!!!
